EASY DAY

The floors are done and cleaned up. Most all of the prep work is done. Now it is time to start the framing. Yes!!!!!!!!  We are getting our lumber rebid one more time....it keeps going down. The truss bid has dropped....get this by almost 33%. The best news is that we still have right at $600,000 left in our account. Please keep praying for miracles.

The Floor is Done

We finished the floor today.yeah! I'm beat! Tomorrow we will go over and clean up the whole job. We will probably do some finish grading around the building and get things ready for the RVers. The job foreman says they will start measueing out walls on Monday.

One Left to Pour

wow concrete is hard work......I have kinda forgot about the toll it takes on your body. The good news is one more pour tomorrow. I am really happy to be able to say that. The  1st RVer should show up Thursday. They plan to start on Monday Nov 3rd. Everything is beginning to take shape. So one section left to pour tomorrow and then we are ready for framing. =) !!!!!!!

One down

Hey all....we got our first section of concrete poured today and it looks great. Please pray for cooler weather and less wind. Yesterday when we were at Home Depot we had 3 cart loads of stuff. Some guy who worked there said hey what are you guys using all that plastic for.....yesterday we started our 40 days of Missions Campaign at Freedom. I stated we should share about God in everything we do. So we got to talk to him about the building.....Dave asked how about a discount on this stuff and he wound up being the shift manager and gave us 10 % off....which saved us about $100....cool huh? What's the odds we would end up running into this guy? Thanks Eric I think that was his name.

Another long day

It seems if everything gets piled on at one time sometimes. I did get a sound system put together the last couple of days that left for Mexico. So that's done. Please pray for success at that 40 Day Crusade. It starts Friday. 40 straight days of services. Lloyd Robinette from Freedom is putting it together. We have already seen God at work just during precampaign preperations. So we finally got to the property about 2pm. That is when I found out we had to have an inspection before we poured. So the work went late tonight and we will start early in the morning. The MO crew will be here tomorrow night and work Saturday on final prep for Mondays pour. Ican't wait till the floor is poured.

what a day

Wow it was a long day....I'm just getting home from youth and trying to wind down. We leveled gravel from 6am to 5 pm today...then I had to get home and get ready for youth. I'm really glad to get the building a little closer to being ready for the concrete floors. Hard to belive but this time next week they should be done.=) =) Yes lots of smiles. Tomorrow we tamp down the gravel...I better go to bed.

Building

Today I was in a brand new church building designed by the same architect we are using. It was totally amazing to be there. Their building is incredible. It made me want our's done even faster. This was also a church plant. They have been around for 10 years. So I guess were a couple years ahead of them. The pastor said that it cost $89 per square foot to build it. That was paying for labor but not counting the parking lot and site work. So it gives me encouragement that we can still make it under a million total. The MO concrete crew will fly in this weekend and pour on Mon-Thurs. If you want to help just give me a call.

Reloaded

Hey all...Diane and I had a great time at the marriage retreat. I can't believe how much we think a like. Most of our time  was spent focusing on our communication. I hope to get better at it. I left more in love than I ever have been before. It is very clear God created us for each other. It's amazing how much my relationship with Diane affects my life. I feel totally reenergized and ready to conquer the world.

Overload

You ever get just like tired? I mean like wow  with a sigh at the end. Thats me right now....yes that was me sighing not the wind. Since I started doing youth again Thursdays have been a little harder. Every Wed. night after service the leadership team goes to Burger King and discusses the service...which is really good but for me getting to bed at midnight is a slight problem. Especially when I get up the next morning and work at the property. Makes for a long day! So I'm glad that my beautiful wife and I are going to be gone for the weekend. Hope to reenergize. Please pray for us.

Down But Not Out

Well.....you may have noticed we have been having some trouble with our blog site. I hope that is cleared up. Also yesterday....my computer was acting silly and then I went home and couldn't get connected to the internet. So.....another call for patience. I often wonder why I get aggravated at such little things....I'm still wired pretty tight....I want things done and I want them done now and I want them done RIGHT!  If I have a computer it should always work perfectly....not....if I'm paying for internet service it should always work....not. It may not sound like it but I'm a lot more patient than I used to be.  I was down but I'm not out. So keep checking in.
