That was the title of my sermon Sunday. There is a lot of stress right now with our economic situation. Many people are losing there jobs, cars and houses. Money is one of the things that break up marriages, families, partnerships and even churches. Maybe that is why it's mentioned over and over in scripture. People become greedy with a more, more, more attitude. The more they make the more they spend which isn't bad. The bad part is the more they earn the more they extend their credit. So a short term layoff is disastrous. People make a lot of money, yet they are broke. Can you imagine a married couple making over $100,000 and talking about difficult financial times. I don't get it.....can you say savings account, I knew you could. People get so wrapped up in there problems they forget that they live in the richest country in the world. That 95% of the world lives in true poverty...struggling to find enough food for the day. My stress busting tip. Be thankful for what you have and where you live. Try making a top 10 list of things you're most thankful for. Then begin a gratitude journal. It will help you put things in prospective and reduce your stress level. Oh by the way God says He knows exactly what you need. Which is usually different than what we want.
