Building!!

Well the project continues to move forward which is awesome! We passed the electrical inspection. We had a few framing things that needed to be fixed but nothing major. The fire sprinkler system should be complete and inspected on Monday. Then another inspection from the county....pray for it to pass! I'm hoping to get sheetrock delivered tomorrow. =) The first of three tractor trailer loads! We have volunteers from a large construction company doing the sheetrock and they are paying for the material....yes hard to believe. The people doing the insulation are scheduled for Wednesday the 5th of August!!!! They said they would be done in a week or so. The sheetrockers should be able to start by the 15th. They told me it would take them about three months to finish. That would be around the middle of November which is when RVers will start showing up. It seems to be coming together I just have to stay patient. Timing is everything when you use volunteers! Please pray for the electricians as they pull in cable through a pipe for our main electric service. It has not been going very well and they are getting frustrated. God can make it happen!

Front Page

Morgan and Logan both made the front page of the local paper. They were at the fly in at Casa Grande Regional airport. They are part of the Civil Air Patrol program and were receiving some training about flying planes. Morgan was in the cockpit when she got her picture taken. Logan was doing a preflight inspection. They got his best side ....the back of his head. hehehe It's kind of a cool thing to have your picture on the front page! They were both all smiles!

My First Car!

NEW CAR

  Well today Morgan got her first set of wheels. It's a 2002 4-Door Buick Century....yeah that's right an old persons car. The good news is that it's in great shape...really clean....almost new tires and no dents. The better news is that it's hers......she bought and paid for it with her own money. Diane and I are very proud of her and her decision making process. She will be headed to college a couple days a week and this will be great transportation. I really can't believe that age 16 she's going to be a sophmore in college. Wow scary for me and mom! When she graduates with her associates degree our hope is that she won't have any debt. We want her to have the freedom to move on to whatever 4 year university she wants. Thank you Lord! I guess I still will have another 5 kids to go through the steps with.

Sorry

Sorry no blog yesterday.....I actually set down to do it but couldn't get  internet connection....then never made it back to my desk! Youth was great again last night. It is hard for me to believe how good our worship team is! They could play on Sunday mornings at our church easily. They are great at worshiping God. Someone asked me once what I thought it took to be a great worship leader...I said the number one thing is that they are a great worshiper.....that they love to give praise and glory to God...at home....at work...in the car...at church...they are connected to God and it helps the congregation connect to God. Oh by the way....that's what we all will be doing in HEAVEN!

Good Day

So far I'm feeling better than yesterday. Hope the worst is behind me. One of the problems with a large family is that when one gets sick everyone gets sick! Then if you're not careful the cycle repeats its self. Please pray for us this doesn't happen. Poor Levi 3 1/2 threw up last night at 4AM and had a really hard time sleeping. The rest of the crew has already had the worst of it and our on the mend. So far baby Allie is doing pretty good with just a little bit of a runny nose. Please pray fro my whole family....thanks!

Sick!

I'm not feeling good at all. I started to write I was under the weather but that is not a good enough description. I usually never get sick....I might feel bad but I just keep going. This is one of those times where I can't hardly get going. One thing that amazed was the energy I had at service yesterday morning....Thank you Lord but after the service and today has been a whole different story. I did work today but only did the things I absolutely had to(and blog) . I'm looking forward to great nights sleep and a better day tomorrow. Please pray for me.

New Day

I had a great time last night at youth group. The worship team did great. Our kids are amazing. I preached about God forgetting our sins after we confess them. So everyday can be a new day! I like the saying... the past is passed and  anew day is ahead! The bible says are sins are removed from us as far as the east is from the west. The cool thing about that is....if you head east you will never get to west......wow that is how far are sins are removed! I love God's promises! Today is a new day get passed your past!

Wed. Night Youth

One of the cool things about not having a youth pastor is that I get to preach. Yes! I think it's a huge blessing to get the oppurtunity to speak life into these kids. They will be world changers and I get to be a part of it....WOW! Please pray for me!

Great Men

I have been blessed to have some great men on my church board. I have often thanked God for their encouragement and wisdom.......but mostly I love them for their honesty and openness. They are willing to ask the hard questions and hold me responsible for the things I do. We work together to help build the Kingdom of God here in AZ City. I also have great men who I serve with to minister to the people of AZ City.....the other pastors. We meet once a month to talk and pray together. This mornings meeting lasted an hour and a half. I think we all left we hope for our city. These great men our the back bone of America......they are not just in AZ City but they are all over the country. Thank you Lord for GREAT MEN!!!!
