Love It

Freedom Assembly is a great place to got to church. I just love the joy that seems present every Sunday. From the time the worship starts till the last prayer....I love it!!! The best compliment we get is that adults love coming. We always have said we want kids to love coming so much that they wake up their parents on Sunday morning and say ot's church day.  We now are getting that amoung our adults. I believe we will still grow if there is joy in the church. We can obey the Holy Spirt and yeild to His convictions when we have that deep down joy. Love it!!!!

Your Momma

Hey don't forget this Sunday is Mother's Day. She is the person who brought you into this world. Please do something nice for her...something she will say wow they really do care. Since my Mom is in MO it's a little bit harder but I still hope to bless her.  Then I want to make sure and bless the mother of my children.....haha. So guys you have double duty. I'm challenged in this area of my life but am going to give it a try!!!!! Be nice to your Momma!!!!

Car Salesman

Well once again as pastor I'm fighting that feeling of what the world thinks of me. Also of the church and other pastors in general. The world has such a negative view of the church and of pastors. The preception is that all we want is your money....and we are willing to bend the rules to get it. Which is  not close to being the truth. We give because the bible tells us to...We give tithes and offerrings. I am still amazed by people that randomly show up at our church wanting money....we offer food and sometimes assitance with a bill....they don't take the food....do take the assistance and then complain that the church doen't do enough. And say that is what the church is there for. I'm not sure we can change that perception. I guess I'm a car salesman...haha  Here's an example of some people's mind set. This past week at church I shared about how we had helped an 80 year old couple who had lost everything and was sleeping on the floor of a rented apartment. We got them some furniture and gave it to them. Listen to this....I had someone say I wish I could of gotten some help...this person has a house and furniture and they are not 80!!!!!  I not sure how you even respond to that!!!!!  So I just keep smiling....and remember I have to please God and God alone!

Pastor Meetings

I'm headed to Prescott for a couple of days. We will be having a few meetings with  othewr pastors. This trip allows us time to play golf together. So.....I am going=)  Plus we will be staying at the district campgroung so the cost is very reasonable. It is always great to get some new prespective from other pastors...young and old. Plus with a busy schedule it is always nice to have a change of place and pace!!!!
