Yucky

I have been under the weathe rfor a couple of days now but thankful I can still work. It seems anytime I'm gone I get behind. My second son will be twelve on Sunday so we have a late night planned tonight. I hope I can talk Diane into letting me get a nap on Friday. The church has a huge outreach on Saturday called Neighborhood Day. It is giving people a place to go here in AZ City to just have fun. WE will give away free food and have a free carnival style day. No preaching just loving people....every year it seems like someone is touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes all people need is to know someone cares!!!!

Membership

Class number 3 tonight of our membership classes. We hope to become a soerign church sometime soon. Diane is doing a great job teaching as always and loving it. We will take one week off then start another 4 set of classes and then I will teach a Memebership Express Class on the 19th of November. So exciting....By the way right now I am teaching the 1st - 5th graders on Wednesday Nights and they are loving it. It's so fun to work with kids!!!!

Events

This time of year we have a lot of events. Our first one coming up is Neighborhood Day. It is a Free Family Fun Day....games waterslides, bike give away, food. The first one we had we gained 40 people in church attendance. We have a Great Giveaway on Oct. 29th. We fill the sancturay up with donated items then give it all away in a couple of hours. In Vovember we will have a breakfast for Veteran's and we will have a big 10 year anniversary beginning on Nov. 11th......look at fall we are ready to take you down!!!!

Church Update

Church has been going great. We averaged 283 per week in September. We are totally excited for the future of our church. My sermon series Love My Church has been going really good. The Bible is a very powerful thing. Still having 90 or so kids going to classes on Sunday mornings. Our testimony is that we love kids. That is what Freedom has been built on and still going strong today!!!! Thank you Lord for sending so many who believe in the vision you gave us!!!

My Head Hurts

My head hurts from trying to figure things out. I'm not sure I will ever understand this world. OK I know I will never understand this world. So God I thank you for Grace. All the Grace You have given me and all the Grace that other people have given me. Please help me give back Grace to those who need it. Help me be a man of Grace! Lord I humble myself to You and Your will....Lord help Freedom continue to be a place where sinners can be set free and help our leadership team deal with all these different personalities. Help Freedom to always put You first. Help us all get past knowing what to do...and just doing it!!!! I love You Lord!!!

Health

My health has been great for 48 years. I just found out yesterday I have high blood pressure. 146-96  So now I have to have blood work done and a follow up appointment in two weeks. I have two basic decisions get into better shape by exercising more and losing weight or go on medication. The healthy choice is to get into better shape and I hate taking any medications at all. So here I go again on the diet plan. It needs to be a life style change!!! Prayers please!!!

Pastors Meeting

Tomorrow is a big meeting here at the church. We should have around 40 pastors from the valley to come have a meeting then eat lunch. We are feeding them staeak and salmon. I can't hardly wait. I also get to speak about church growth and church planting. It is going to be a great day!  We will even have a couple district officials here....scary! ha ha Please pray for a great day!

Sweet Thursday

Thursday is my Friday...so it's going to be a great day. It seems I have so much to do....so much to keep up with. But I have to take care of myself and family first. I use to push myself really hard and have noticed it's effect on my family. So there has to be a balance. I have to take time off. I have to just be gone...checked out. Being a pastor still consumes a lot of my time...it's not a job that you just come to the office then go home and that's the end of it. The longer I pastor the more I know I need time away to stay healthy and to be 100%. I have to be there for people and when my schedule is totally crazy the time I invest in my family pays off greatly. So glad its Friday...haha....I mean Thursday!!!!

Wednesday Night

Tonight we are haveing Memebership 101 Class and full kids program...a family night. We will do this next 4 weeks...take a week off then do it another 4 weeks and then see where we are. It could be the start of Wednesday Family Night instaed of just the Mosaic Youth Group. We have grown so fast with so many new people that  are greatest need is Discipleship. Plus we are looking at becoming a Soverign Church...which basically means self-governing! So here we go again!!!! Work, work and more work...but I love it!

Scissors Lift

The lift is going to Casa Grande to help the music store install some speakers. I get to go and be the operator...yeah!!!  My good deed for the day. The only problem was loading the lift. The guy who borrowed the bobcat last took my piece of plywood that I use to drive the lift on the trailer. So instaed of a 5 minute job it took me an hour and a lot of broken particle board and finally help from the drywall guy. =(  I was a little mad!!!  Haha...getting mad still didn't get the lift on the trailer.....so now I'm going to smile the reast of the day and take it as it comes!!!!
