Christmas

Tonight Freedom is having a special Christmas service at 7pm. In the morning me and my family will have Christmas. Christmas Eve we will be at my in laws. Christmas morning we will have church. Then sometime that afternoon we will head to MO...for some more Christmas.....Yea for Christmas!  The whole time we will be emphasizing the true meaning of Christmas to our kids and family. Jesus was born to die for our sins. Thank you Lord!!!!!

2012

It's hard for me to believe this year is almost over. 2012 lies ahead! I was born in 1963 and remember at some point in my life wondering if I would ever see the year 2000....now it's 12 years later. Our lives really our short...we are here then we are gone. That's why we need to make the most out of every oppurtunity. And beyond all else love our famalies and the people we are close to. Keep what is suppose to be important...IMPORTANT....at the end of our days we will not call for our buddies from work or ask for our diplomas our look at that old car one more time ...we will be calling for those we love.....and wishing we could fix the broken relationship.  So why not do that now...make the call build the bridge heal the wound. You can do it God will help you. Merry Christmas

Big Day

Today Freedom signed all the loan documents for our building. Total loan $456,750.00! That's not bad for a facility that appraised for 2 million in this market.  Now the fun begins...making payments. One thing that evryone told me would happen when we did our fundraising campaign was that it all wouldn't come in. I prayed against that but we still came up about $300,000 short of our pledges. Plus I had no idea about the $65,000 impact fee, $42,000 electric fee, and $14,000 water fee.  Plus $90,000 permit and engineering fee and we paid the property off which was $75,000. So if you do the math you can see that we are pretty happy with the position we are in.....and we own an awesome facility that has seen 60 people get baptized in the last 20 months. Thank you Lord!!!!!!

Progressive Dinner and Play

Yesterday was a great day. The play was really really good. We had a full house also. 323 in attendance. The best part of the play as the presentation of the Christmas story in a funny but truthful way. Part of the play is directly read from the bible. Then the progressive dinner was so much fun. And of course we had great food. We had about 90 for the dinner at the church. Not sure how many at my house for desert but there was alot. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the play and the dinner.

Christmas

Well in 10 days it will be Christmas. Wow time flys by.....also it will soon be 2012!!!! That means that in less than a month I will be 49!  I think 49 and holding sounds better! The bible says that our life is a mist or a breath...here a moment then gone as I get older I understand this pronciple more and more. I can't not go back in time.....I can't make my body age any less...it's just the circle of life. So that means I need to make the most out of every day. Help me Lord.....serve You in every situation....give me the desire to be the best I can be!!!

To Much Rain

Never heard that before in AZ City....hahahaha But the general contractor didn't want to come today because it rained to much. So I'm hoping he will come tomorrow and atleast set up forms. Then maybe we can pour twice next week. As long as it doesn't rain to much....hahahahhah  It actually is quite muddy out there. We got some where around 2 inches of rain in the last two days. I can seein my mind how good the parking lot will look when it is done. Iguess that's why I'm feeling impatient.....let's go let's go let's go...when the concrete is done we can get the landscaping done. It's going to look amazing!!!!!

Rain Again

This makes two days in a row waking up to rain. Wow the streets are so flooded. If it rains anymore it could cause some major problems.  Cool thing about Southern AZ is the sun is out now. I hope it clears up by tomorrow so we can do some more concrete. The concrete is going way to slow for me. I'm used to my buddy Terry coming and pouring 40 yards a day. Hahahahah  But that requires a lot more help than me and one of my sons! Have a great day evryone!

 

Rainy Monday

Rain and Mondays and being a pastor makes a guy want to sleep in. I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I even have thought about going back home and back to bed. Oh well......it was a good thought! My family and I are going back to MO over the holiday so I have lots to do to get ahead of the game a little. I'm thankful for a little slower pace the last couple of weeks. It would have been reallynice if we hadn't poured concrete last week. Church play and progressive dinner this Sunday and then it's Christmas!

No Concrete

It was a weird day for me. We set concrete forms yesterday and finished up this morning and called for concrete. First company said we couldn't get it till noon....that's to late in the day...called second company same thing....called third company same thing....WEIRD....So now I get to come in on my day off to pour concrete! I'm happy and sad at the same time! I told the guy doing the work the only day I'm not available is Friday. hahaha Our last pour was on Friday too. This time I'm going to help pour and then leave and not come back!!!!!!!

More Concrete

The concrete guy should be showing up any minute! More curbs are going to be poured tomorrow.....yes!!!! I can't wait till all this work is done. It will make the whole project look and feel complete. Plus I'm hoping to get out of the office and run the bobcat some. Please pray for my family is we have had a few of us get the stomach flu. Last night it was Landan at 4am. I always wonder why it happens at night. So I'm a litle tired since we were up at 4am Sunday morning with Allie. Lord please no more....let this go right out the window and blow away!
