The Beattles Slept Here

That is the name of the play my son Landan is in. He loves acting! He also has been singing on the youth worship team. My older brother thinks it's weird because all his boys want to do is hunt and play sports. We have encouraged Landan to play sports...he even played football one year but just doesn't like it that much. So tonight at 7:30 will be opening night...then he performs Friday night and Saturday afternoon. He went all out for his part and even dyed his hair. I'm so happy and excited for him! If you are in the area the play as at The Black Box Theater in Casa Grande.

Two Weeks

Two weeks from today is the start of the Pinal County Fair. It is always a great week and a lot of fun and learning. We have 4 steers this year...2 carcass and 2 market. Logans carcass is going to be to small and his market is small but should make weight. Landan has a really good looking black steer for carcass and a red shorthorn cross for market. It is the first red steer we have shown since the first year. We are hoping all goes well and that they bring a good price. My friend has 2 really good steers and I'm hoping they win Grand champion with one of them...his girls have worked really hard at getting them ready. So here goes the last two weeks.

Allie

Well today Allie turns 3. It is hard to believe time goes by so fast. I wish life would slow down. She is a very cute little girl with a great personality. She is a talker to and all girl. She wants to wear a dress every day.....a princess one if you got it. Happy Birthday Allie!

Time is Short

I'm siiting here thinking about the next 3 weeks. In that short period of time my ministry will be over here in AZ City. We have been so blessed these last 10 years. I still can't believe we are really going to move on.....but we are! I have even started packing my office. It is a little sad. So as we head to Sullivan MO we leave a healthy church that grew from 201 to 263 last year. Even with me announcing my resignation we had 312 this past week. So part of me wants to stay and part of me wants to go. Sad and excited at the same time. The good news is that I know God is leading us to move. One thing I found it is that I can trusr God for anything and everything!!!!!

The Wedding

Tony the intern is getting married on Saturday. It pretty much invloves our whole family. So we are looking forward to Monday!!!! Hahaha  He is getting married to Lindsie Thorton who lived with us for a while and graduated from Freedom Christian School. Diane is doing the food and Morgan is doing the Cake. So look out our house is going to be more crazy than normal. Diane said at times like these we need a live in nanny!

Unity

You want to build a great church have unity. It takes people who will live in peace with each other. Who will not be offended by every little thing. Pray for unity at your church. Then practice it be a peace maker!!!!!

Thursday

Life is short....make the most of it. Thursday come and go...but I try to make the most of them. It seems like it is always a good day. I'm not sure if it's because I'm off on Fridays or not. We have a young man here working....he is getting a lot of the weeds pulled. He has just had a hard time finding work. Cool thing is that he was here on time and ready to work. He even came the other day when it was raining. He has his application in at a few places but no job yet. Praying for something to come through for him. So now I'm going to finish this sermon and it will be a great THursday!!!! 

Tired

After a long night I'm phsically and emotionally drained. Just nothing left in the tank. It's weird that as you get older the long nights are harded to recover from. When Diane and I first met we would stay up till 2am and talk. Then the next day I would get up and go to work. Now if I don't get my sleep I'm in for a long day. Especially when you have a lot on your mind. Tonight when I sleep I hope I get double the amount of rest.

Rainy Day

It was pouring this morning as I was out dropping babies off. Taking Landan to school and picking up Tony. And as soon as I got to the office it quit...hahahah I also had a young man coming to pull weeds and sent him home because of the rain. So now here I sit in my office with wet shoes and a wet jacket. I'm actually kind of cold. Glad to be married to a great Valentine!!!

This and That

All the little things in life are what make things hard. The daily list of things to do and things to remember. Work related and family rleated. It is big job and sometimes you just want to quit. But you can't because if you do your just farther behind. So here I go on Monday not things things off the list. My only problem is I can only do one at a time. It is even more complicated when you have 7 kids and a church of 263 where you are the only pastor. Thankful for a great wife, administrative assistant and intern. Lets do this!!!
